Coronavirus Update.

Here at Ocean Backpackers it is business as usual, but please rest assured that the health and safety of our guests is our primary focus and we are taking all the necessary steps to minimise the risk of Coronavirus here at the Hostel.

We have a Coronavirus policy in place and believe that: (1) regular cleaning of the hostel (2)encouraging guests to adhere to good hygiene practises and (3) monitoring the health of our guests will be our best defence.

WHAT WE ARE DOING:

With individual bookings we are spreading people throughout the hostel to minimise the number of individuals in any one room.

For educational/large group bookings-we will close the hostel to any other bookings for the duration of their stay, therefore greatly minimising the risk of contagion during their stay.

We are putting in place hand washing facilities in all communal areas and each bedroom.

Awareness posters throughout the building advising guests of best hygiene practises.

On top of our already thorough cleaning procedures-we are reguarly sanitising all handrails bannisters and door handles.

All guests are asked to wash their hands upon arrival using our handwashing facilities and reguarly throughout their stay.

Keeping an eye out for any guests who feel, or become unwell.

We have a procedure in place for any suspected cases of COVID-19.

Strict guidelines for staff on how they can protect themselves while on shift.

Keeping up to date on Government and Public Health England so we can monitor and plan accordingly.

If in doubt or you feel unwell then please postpone your stay at Ocean Backpackers. We are happy to move your booking forward to a later date.
