We are open!

We are really pleased to announce that Ocean Backpackers Independent Youth Hostel is now open after a short winter break! What did we get up to you may ask??…Well, every room at the Hostel now has new energy efficient radiators to keep you warm and toasty during your stay!! The third floor kitchen and single room were redecorated and our family room on the first floor got a new look complete with stripey carpet!! We hope you like all the improvements!

Becca our manager is back and we are all really looking forward to welcoming guests both old and new to the backpackers in 2018! What’s new for Ilfracombe this year?? Well, Thomas Carr, who has a Michelin Star restaurant here called The Olive Room is just about to open Thomas Carr-Seafood and Grill restaurant on the High Street!! We’ve also heard rumours that a Caribbean restaurant will be opening for the summer season too!! Along with exciting new developments happening in the local area-work will begin in the Spring for the new Watersports Centre at the Harbour! We can’t wait!!
