There is a growing campaign to persuade visitors to book direct with their chosen accomodation provider! Here at Ocean Backpackers, Ilfracombe we would like to join this appeal to ask our guests to book with us direct and in doing so avoid us having to pay 15% of the whole booking to the Booking agents!

From our website (using the “BOOK NOW” icon) you can see at a glance what we have available on the dates that you are looking for and also the cost of the room! For a small £1.50 booking fee (that goes directly to our Hostel Office system provider) -Card details are taken confidentially to secure the booking and confirmation of the booking is sent immediately! Maybe you have a special request like wanting a female only dorm, bringing a dog, or a family that want a room together with en-suite….then booking directly is your answer! Even better, pick up the phone and give us a call-especially if your request is an unusal one! We are a family run business with plenty of local knowledge to enhance your stay and are only too happy to help with planning your trip! By booking direct, the contract is with us, the price is often better, the cancellation terms can be more generous-AND most importantly, we can use the 15% commision we have to pay to on-line booking agents to re-invest in our business and give our guests a better experience all round!

Each Independent Hostel has it’s own unique selling point and they really are great places to stay, especially if you are on a budget!
