Ocean Backpackers and Solonda Pilates Studio have formed a partnership to create affordable wellbeing breaks for everyone.

We believe true well-being is about finding Joy in the day to day, as much as looking after yourself and we are passionate about providing this experience on a budget.

A wellbeing retreat doesn’t have to be in a faraway exotic and expensive location, or require using up valuable annual leave, nor does it have to involve restrictive diets and detoxing. A weekend away with friends, enjoying good food on your terms and a glass or two of wine, and participating in some enjoyable exercise and maybe some additional fun activities, is likely to be more restorative experience!

Ocean Backpackers is a quality self-catering hostel offering comfortable budget accommodation and complementary refreshments. You don’t have to buy an overpriced breakfast that you don’t even want, and you can choose to prepare your own meals or get take-away and relax in our comfortable communal dining/living room.

Solonda Studio is run by Jayne who has experience in both dance and fitness. She studied contemporary dance at Trinity Laban Dance Conservatoire, London and Dance Movement Therapy at Goldsmiths University. She gained her Fitness Instructor qualification in 2011, later training in Mat Pilates and more recently qualified in Reformer Pilates.

Package 1: Solonda Stretch, Strengthen & Shimmy £95pp (based on 5 sharing). Two nights in a private dorm room, bedding and towels included. Use of shared self-catering facilities & complimentary refreshments. Min group size is 5 and includes any 3 of the below:

  • Morning Beach Stretch & Meditation (45 mins) Not too early, you’re on holiday after all!
  • Mat Pilates Class (60 mins) Includes mats and props. All levels catered for
  • Line Dance Class (60 mins) followed by a glass of bubbly. A great way to unwind and have fun. No experience needed!
  • Yoga class (60 mins) Includes mats and props.

Package 2: Surf & Stretch £105pp. (max group size 4) Two nights in a private dorm or family room, bedding & towels included. Use of shared self-catering facilities & complimentary refreshments. Includes:

  • Surf Coaching session (90 mins) One to one or group includes. transport to and from beach, surf equipment hire is an additional cost.
  • Power food snack pack
  • Pre and Post Surf stretch (30 mins)

Package 3: Ocean Mix & Match £120pp (min group size 5) Two nights in a private dorm or family room, use of shared self-catering facilities & complimentary refreshments. Includes any 4 of the below:

  • Morning Beach Stretch & Meditation (45 mins)
  • Mat Pilates Class (60 mins)
  • Yoga Class (60 mins)
  • Line Dance Class (60 mins) followed by a glass of bubbly.
  • Surf lesson (60 mins) One to one or group (max 4 per lesson)
