April 2 Ilfracombe Lions Club Swimarathon – Teams of 4 to 6 people – adults or children & non swimming team captain have to swim 55 minutes in relays to raise sponsorship money.

May 7 Traditional Community Photo – 12 noon on Capstone Hill to celebrate the coronation of King Charles 111 followed by a Street Party in Fore Street – Everyone welcome.

May 13 & 14 Ilfracombe Art Trail – Open house event of artists, of all disciplines, displaying their work in their own homes, art galleries, shops, cafes, restaurants etc around the town.
May 20 Lundy Yacht Race – The race is held over one-day with the successful competitors covering approximately 45 miles. Traditionally, the event attracts a great number of entries with the Trafalgar trophy being awarded to the overall winner

May 26-29 Ilfracombe Beer Fest – A fantastic weekend of free festival fun in the heart of Ilfracombe all under huge twin tipi tents on Landmark Green. Featuring 50+ local beers and ciders – live music all weekend – local street food, a cocktail bar and an undercover fire pit!

May 18 – 20 Devon County Show – Is an agricultural show held annually at the Westpoint Arena and Showground in Clyst St Mary near Exeter. The show celebrates rural life and features country and livestock competitions, a grand parade, equine events, local food and drink, traditional entertainment and rural crafts.

June 1-4 Wavelength Spring Classic – A celebration of live music, ride culture and van life at Woolacombe Bay. A classic festival by the sea, with music, surfing, skating and ride culture at the heart of it. www.springclassic.co.uk
June 16-18 Gold Coast Oceanfest – A three day surf and music festival at Croyde
June 25 North Devon AONB Marathon and Half Marathon (Woolacombe) – The coastal route is tough, which is part of the appeal, and the scenery is incomparable.
July 2 Croyde Ocean Triathlon – Not for the faint hearted. Olympic distance course – 1.5km Open water swim, 40km Bike ride & 12km Trail run
August 2 North Devon Show at Umberleigh – One day agricultural show. Advance tickets available from the Tourist Information Centre.
August 28 Mini Madness – Hundreds of mini cars, some decorated, take to local roads for charity, hooting horns and waving flags as they go. Rally finishes on Ilfracombe seafront.
