Summer of fun!!

Well, it’s been a long summer holidays so far!!!! Did you get the same impression as us that as soon as the school holidays started-the weather changed and the rain set in!! Well try not to get too disheartened!! There is still time to book a budget family break and come and stay with us here at Ocean Backpackers to create some happy memories before the “cherubs” go back to school!!! Ilfracombe is situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has so much to offer in all kinds of weather!! This time of year it is buzzing with holiday makers who are enjoying the Museum, the Aquarium, the daily boat trips from the Harbour, the shops, the galleries, Verity (Damien Hirst’s statue), the restaurants, pubs, cafes, spectacular walks along the South West Coast Path and cycle rides along the Tarka Trail. Venture slightly further afield and you can visit the stunning Woolacombe Beach, Exmoor National Park, Watermouth Castle, Combe Martin Dinosaur Park, the Big Sheep……………….the list is endless!!! We have fabulous family rooms that can sleep 4 or 5 and great self-catering facilities with free parking too!! If our private rooms have gone-why not hire a dorm for excluisve use??
